You all knew it was only a matter of time before I doubled down on the Nutella goodness here, right? A Nutella Pop dipped in Nutella coating — it had to be done:
For the pop, I used the Nutella Ice Pop recipe from Day 57. I played with the proportions for the shells this time — rather than using a 1:1 ratio of Nutella to coconut oil, I used a 2:1 ratio to see if I could get the flavor to be a little richer.
I didn’t have a good vessel for dipping these pops, so I made the shell in a sandwich bag like last time, then kind of smooshed the pops around in it to get them covered:
As you can see, this coating technique leaves a lot to be desired. My pops turned out a little messy and uneven. But the flavor…wow. Unbelievably rich. This is one of those pops where the relatively small capacity of the Zoku is a real positive. Any more, and it would simply be too much. At two ounces, this pop was incredibly satisfying.
