It’s still strawberry season here, though I’ve been taking mercy on you and have been easing up on the strawberry pops. But I couldn’t resist trying this one today:
I’m a big fan of chocolate covered strawberries, and I made a more literal interpretation of that idea back around Valenitne’s Day. But I wanted to try this different spin on it, so I made my basic chocolate recipe (equal parts half & half and milk mixed with 1.5 heaping spoonfuls of Ovaltine. Before I poured my pop, I stuck as many strawberries as I could to the side of the mold.

This pop turned out really great. The flavors of the chocolate and the strawberries balanced well. Frankly, it was better than the chocolate-dipped strawberry pop I made in February. Plus it was quicker and easier to make. Counts as a win in my book.
