Regular readers of this blog may remember that I tried to make a pomegranate ice pop some time ago, with poor results. And that I have tried repeatedly to make ice pops with lime in them, with results ranging from the disgusting to merely inedible. Neither fruit has worked particularly well for me in the past. So when I saw this at Trader Joe’s, I knew I had to try it:
Both of my ice pop nemeses in the same box, mixed by the company with the best possible chance of getting them right. If they couldn’t make pomegranate and lime palatable, then I figure nobody could.
I’m not sure how I feel about this ice pop. On the one hand, it is edible, which is a huge step up from my efforts with these flavors so far. On the other hand, I don’t get much in the way of either pomegranate or lime flavor from it. It’s just sweet and kid of generic. Not bad, but not a home run, either.
